Here are some notes from today's episode (2.8) of The Great Show:
National Novel Writing Month begins Saturday. If you can write an average of 1,700 words per day you can hit the 50,000 word total needed to be deemed a "winner." A great concept, and one that has challenged and entertained serious and not-so-serious writers to crank out a rough draft of a novel in 30 days. Learn more and register for this free event at www.nanowrimo.org.
Madison Bumgarner made $3.9 million this year, according to Forbes online. The World Series MVP is actually being paid far less than some of his fellow San Francisco Giants pitchers, but with a championship and a healthy bank account it's hard to imagine he's very "Mad" these days.
NY Daily News reports that this year's Top 5 Halloween costumes are 1) Frozen 2) Zombie 3) Ninja 4) Pirate and 5) Clown. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came in #8, Batman is #11 and Star Wars #15.
We'd like to hear about your creative costumes, creative pumpkin carving designs, and memorable trick-or-treating stories. Share them with us here, on Facebook, or through Twitter.
